BMW 3-Series Coupe Review
Published: 7th June 2004
BMW 320Cd SE Coupe
The rear has undergone similar subtle styling tweaks including a restyled rear bumper housing body-coloured PDC Park Distance Control sensors, a wider boot handle and new Light-Emitting Diode two-stage brake lighting in the newly styled rear clusters.
The BMW coupe is 1.7 cm shorter and 1.8 cm wider than the saloon. It is also 3.1 cm lower because of its flatter roof and lower sports suspension. Our test car was equipped with optional Star Spoke 119, 8J x 17 alloy wheels (£560) which significantly enhanced the looks of the BMW 320Cd SE Coupe.
How It Looks - Interior
The BMW 320Cd SE Coupe's interior is a minimalist's dream, simple, uncluttered and functional. The cabin is well crafted and the black and silk grey interior trim exudes an elegant cool ambiance. The standard black Tex 2000 cloth upholstery and velour carpeting was of a good quality and should prove durable in the long term.
In Car Entertainment and Satellite Navigation
- Our test car was fitted with BMW Business radio with cassette player and optional BMW 6 Disc CD Changer (£250)
- The stereo controls are steering wheel mounted keeping your hands on the wheel for maximum safety
Rivals
- Audi A4, Honda Accord, Jaguar X-TYPE, Mazda6, Lexus IS200 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class
