iPod Compatibility Comes To BMW
Published: 10th March 2005
Since its launch Apple’s iPod portable music station has taken the world by storm but thanks to the introduction of a new connector BMW owners can now use their iPods from behind the wheel.
For just £125, owners of the fourth generation 3 Series, Z4, X3 and X5 cars will be able to make use of the extensive music catalogues stored on an iPod, with the driver being able to use a multi-function steering wheel to select each track. To check for full compatibility customers should visit www.ipodyourbmw.com before ordering through a BMW dealer.
News of iPod compatibility comes as a £1,495 interior roof-mounted DVD system is offered on 3 Series (Saloon and Touring), X3 and 5 Series (Saloon and Touring) models, and two new alloy wheels are offered on the 5 Series. Customers can now specify a retrofit Alpina 19-inch Classic multi-spoke alloy wheel and tyre set costing £3,295, while Sport models can be specified with a 19-inch M Double-spoke alloy wheel at a price of £780.
