The inaugural Scottish Fashion Awards 2006 promises to be one of the most glamorous evenings of the year and to add an elegant finishing touch VIP guests will arrive at Stirling Castle (7 May) in a range of stunning Bentley cars including the Arnage and Continental Flying Spur.
The famous British marque, which is also synonymous with timeless design and distinctive styling, is supporting what promises to be a great showcase for Scotland’s flourishing fashion industry through its role as official car partner.
Bentley Glasgow and Bentley Edinburgh, the company’s official dealers in Scotland, will make sure guests arrive at Stirling Castle in comfort and appropriate style and will also be ready for the return journey when carriages are called at midnight.
As well as supporting the evening with unmistakable cars like the four-door Continental Flying Spur, Bentley Motors is sponsoring the International Designer of the Year Award. Christine Gaskell, member of the board at Bentley Motors, will be presenting the award and nominees include Miu Miu, Viktor & Rolf as well as Comme des Garçons.
Scotland’s Bentley dealerships will be introducing a breathtaking contender of their own in just over a month’s time when the Continental GTC, Bentley’s new luxury 2 + 2 convertible, makes it official debut at exclusive preview events at their Glasgow and Edinburgh showrooms.
Bentley’s exemplary standards of craftsmanship and design are on full display when the Continental GTC’s roof is lowered, offering customers a thrilling combination of sophisticated open-top motoring with outstanding performance from its W12 twin-turbocharged 6-litre engine. With over 552bhp it is capable of achieving a top speed of 190mph with the roof down, increasing to 195mph when the roof is raised.Published 29 April 2006
