New Entry Level Alfa 147 Joins The Range

Alfa Romeo UK has just added a new
entry level version to its 147 sporting hatchback range. Available
in both 3 and 5-door form, the new Alfa 147 1.6TS is positioned below
the existing 147 Turismo, and is equipped with a 105bhp version of
Alfa Romeo’s widely acclaimed 1.6 litre Twin Spark 16-valve
engine.
The new Alfa thus has a less powerful engine than the 120bhp 1.6 Turismo and Lusso versions, but its specification is otherwise similar to Turismo, and it becomes available at a price that will be particularly attractive to customers looking for a stylish, individual alternative at the lower end of the mid-size prestige market.
The new Alfa Romeo 147 1.6TS has a top speed of 115mph, and 0-62mph acceleration in 11.3 seconds. Official fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 34.8mpg.
