Alfa Romeo Offers Diesel Economy At Petrol Engine Prices

Alfa Romeo is encouraging buyers to sample the advantages of modern diesel power by offering diesel versions of the Alfa 147 for the on-the-road price of the corresponding petrol version.

The offer means customers can save up to £1100 on Alfa Romeo’s JTD and advanced JTD M-Jet engines which combine impressive performance figures with excellent fuel consumption.

The 3-door Alfa 147 1.9 JTD Turismo is now available for £13,950, the on-the-road price of a 1.6 T Spark Turismo and the 140 bhp 1.9-litre 16v M-Jet Lusso can be purchased for £16,550, the same as a 147 2.0 T Spark Lusso.

Introduced in the UK last year, the state-of-the-art 1.9 JTD M-Jet 16v engine delivers maximum power of 140 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 305 Nm of torque @ 2000 rpm. The quiet power unit takes the 147 to a top speed of 129 mph.
