Alfa Romeo has been placed within the top ten in the industry in the J.D Power and Associates 2011 UK Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Survey.

Out of a maximum of 1000 points, Alfa Romeo was awarded 805 in the Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Index, ahead of the industry average of 794.

Four factors make up the J.D Power report, with the Vehicle Appeal Index category carrying the largest influence - 37%. Alfa Romeo placed in seventh position gaining 824 points, one point behind Audi in sixth place.

Alfa Romeo places the improvement of customer satisfaction scores on the shoulders of its cars, for example the Alfa Romeo MiTo having sold 12,000 cars since its 2009 launch and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta with its class leading Euro NCAP safety features.

Head of Brand for Alfa Romeo UK, Damien Dally, says: "This is fantastic news for both Alfa Romeo and our dealer partners as we enter our second century. To be placed tenth in overall customer satisfaction performance is a great achievement and clearly demonstrates the improvements in customer service, ownership appeal and quality that are being made at Alfa Romeo.

"We are encouraged by these results and will strive to continue improving all areas of the customer experience journey."
